Hello All!

As we start the 2012 season of The Lincoln City Farmers Market, we as a market wanted a new way to bring you, our wonderful customers, up to date news on the comings and goings of our daily lives. This is going to be a great opportunity for us to connect with everyone on a deeper level and allow you to see a little deeper into the preparation and dedication our vendors put into their products. It will also serve as a place for some of our vendors to come together and create recipes, meal ideas, etc. featuring products from all over our market for you the customer; as well as a place for in depth news and promotions from the Market's Board of Directors. There will also be blog posts from vendors that will give them a chance to unveil new products, talk about what they create, or just connect with you as customers. This week we're keeping it pretty simple, and are just bringing you a list of vendors you can expect to see this year, as well as information on one of our newest and most exciting promotions!

Now, this year at our Market we are partnering with the "That's My Farmer" SNAP incentive program. What this is, is an opportunity for those who receive the Oregon SNAP benefits to receive more when they spend at the market. For the initial $6 spent on any approved items you will receive $6 in tokens to spend at the market on any and all SNAP approved food items. This is an exciting promotion that benefits both our farmers and food vendors, and customers. For any questions regarding the "That's My Farmer" program, stop by our Market information booth in the center of the Market.

We are really hoping that this Blog will prove to be a great opportunity for all of us, and cannot wait to see where this year takes us!

See you all on May 6th from 9-3 for our opening day!!! Stop by, buy local, and lets make 2012 a year to remember!
